The principal question arises - what is the relationship between changes of blood serum atherogenicity and alterations in carotid atherosclerosis. In most cases our patients had atherogenicity. If atherogenicity disappeared during observation the majority of patients demonstrated regression of atherosclerosis. Some of our patients have no atherogenicity at the beginning of observation. In most cases the appearance of atherogenicity during observation was accompanied with progression of atherosclerosis. If atherogenicity did not appear the majority of patients demonstrated regression of atherosclerosis. The specific statistical method revealed a significant relationship between the dynamics of atherogenicity and the dynamics of atherosclerosis.
