The degree of blood atherogenicity was determined as an amount of cholesterol accumulated in cultured cells during twenty-four hour incubatiion. This parameter was different in different patients. Some patients possessed no atherogenicity, their blood serum did not induce cholesterol accumulation in cultured cells. Blood serum taken from other patients induced different rate of cholesterol accumulation, that is these patients had different degree of atherogenicity.
