We believe that preclinical atherosclerosis, its prevention and treatment are very important, too. Further i will speak about natural history of atherosclerotic lesion from initial lipid lesions, more pronounced  fatty streak to atherosclerotic plaque with lipid core and fibrotic cap. Favorable development leads to fibrotic plaque with low lipid content and huge fibrotic cap. You can see that each type of atherosclerotic lesion is accompanied with lipid accumulation.
