The ultrasonographic monitoring showed that in allicor-treated group the thickness of intima plus media layer in carotid arteries decreased, whereas in control group the regular growth was registered. There was statistically significant difference between trends. So, we have obtained the evidence that allicor possesses a direct antiatherosclerotic effect.
