We have tested many types of ldl modifications and numerious ldl samples taken from different patients. Our experiments demonstrated that ldl self-association is possible only in the case of modified ldl. On the other hand, we never observed intracellular cholesterol accumulation caused by non-associated dispersible lipoproteins. On the basis of our experience we can state: no modification – no association, no association – no atherogenicity.
