Low density liporotein was isolated from both atherogenic and nonatherogenic blood serum. Lipoprotein isolated from nonatherogenic serum did not induce cholesterol accumulation in cultured cell even in very high concentration. On the other hand, ldl from atherogenic serum caused significant increase of cellular cholesterol as a result of twenty-four hour incubation.
